Cartography of Desire is a project about the idea of “elsewhere”. It investigates the tension between “here” and “there” through the exploration of the space where we live in, and the projection into another space where we would like to be. It is a project about an exchange between the two sides of the Mediterranean Sea despite political issues, borders, visas. “Live the present moment: the tension of the trip, the goal of being elsewhere. Forget the present moment: try to let it be forgotten by taking off its weight as a continuous present. Giving it a limit, a point. From this perspective, the point is nothing but elsewhere”. Cartography of Desire is a project for individuals and communities intended to create a counter-cartography of the present.
